A pastel drawing of Gypsy. Finally got a scanner and have redone my drawings. Everything came out as a much better quality though im not quite sure how to replace the photos ive already posted.

Iguana and Cockatiel

Finished the drawing of the iguana and cockatiel for a project, didnt have both to get an actual true size comparison but I think the tiel is a bit small...the photo lost some details and doesnt show as much contract. But I'm happy with the result.

Update

Well ive been horrible at updating......Have completed two pieces since my last post, another graphite dog and an african grey parrot in graphite with a splash of colored pencils. The photos look a bit different than the actual drawing, not as nice looking as the real thing. The parrot was especially enjoyable to draw :)

Finally completed this piece, not sure what ill work on next. Maybe a little gecko? :)

Just finished his left ear and forehead, took a bit longer due to some non-art related problems, been a rough last couple of days.

Was busy yesterday traveling several hours to a reptile sale, ended up getting four crested geckos and two leopard geckos,was definantly a fun trip.

Heres my progress so far, I am mainly just working on the darkest areas than going to fill in the midtones and last adding texture to the highlights in the dogs fur. After i'm satisfied with the eye area i'm probably going to start working on his ears. Don't have a scanner at the moment, so this was taken with my camera, really need to get a scanner soon lol.

New Blog!

Finally decided to start working on a blog and upload work online. Here I will be posting pet portraits and wildlife art as they progress and the completed pieces. But I'll probably have random art or animal related bable every now and then. Also hope to eventually get a webpage up and running in the near future. At the moment I'm working on a graphite drawing of a dark haired dog for a course and will be posting a WIP (work in progress) image sometime later.
